Strike!

Today I went bowling with my brother, sister, and dad! It was a lot of fun, we accidently got their during cosmic bowling session but it was so much more entertaining that way. There were lights and music and my little brother Jack was an amazing bowler and I don't even think he knew that! We were all so impressed. Jenna is such a funny bowler, she just has fun and doesn't worry if the ball goes in the gutter or not! She spins the ball and sometimes just drops in on the lane, and she never looks back to see if she even hit any pins. She is always so interesting to me, she really knows how to have fun :) It was so fun to spend the day with my family and do something fun together. We also made up fun bowling names, mine was Pinky, and Jenna said lets go Pinky everytime it was my turn! My dads was Hobbs after his favorite cat, Jacks was Mobb because he likes that word, and Jennas was BOF for Balls of Fury haha.

Summers almost gone

I am been sitting at home now for about three weeks and I think that is enough resting for me! I love being home but I also love working, accomplishing things, and school! I cant wait to go back to Point Loma. I have been spending a lot of time with my family and visiting friends. I was introduced to the movie Hot Rod and I don't think I will ever be the same haha. I also watched Dear John and I have a new found respect for all families with husbands or wives that are in the military. That is such a hard way to raise a family or keep a relationship going. I had watched this movie years ago when it came out on my friends computer and it seems that I never saw it all the way to the end. I was convinced that it ended horribly and that I hated this sad movie but I watched it yesterday and saw the real ending and was left with hope. I also laughed at myself to hating this movie for so long for no reason! I got all of the names of the new girls that will be living on my hall in the mail yesterday which was so exciting! I made their name tags for hours yesterday but I think that they are really going to love them! I got tons of different frames and put all one of a kind fabric swatches inside each frame and then wrote their names on the glass of the frame in sharpie! They look great and I cant wait until the girls see them! Other than that I have been preparing for my big move back to San Diego in a few days and spending time with people before I have to go. This is going to be a very big year for me. I am going into my junior year and all of the maths and sciences are just hitting me now. I have taking Biology, Math, World Civilizations, a Fashion Display class, and a lit class of C.S. Lewis which I am really looking forward to! I am the Vice President of my Honor Society Sorority Phi U as well as a Strengths Quest leader and I am looking for a second job haha! I love to be busy and I cant wait to jump into all of these activities! That seems like all thats going on for now, I'll keep you updated :)

More Traveling!!!

I have a very close friend also named Kelsey who works at a Christian camp up near Santa Cruz called Mount Hermon. I took a road trip up there for a long weekend. It was so nice to see my friends and spend some time at camp. I took a lot of hikes and walks around the campus, I almost got lost in the woods once and slightly hyperventillated but thankfully I found my way out haha. My friend Kelsey took me to Pacific Ave. where all the shopping of Santa Cruz is, I took a picture wearing my new maxi skirt in front of the famous pizza place, Pizza My Heart! We saw so many street performers and crazy costumes. The Giant Dipper in the roller coaster right on the boardwalk of the Santa Cruz beach and also the roller coaster that you see in the opening credits of "Step By Step!" I was so thrilled that I recognized it! My last day there Kelsey took me to this Brazilian restaurant where I had the best and prettiest Acai bowl that I have ever had. I loved feeling like I was in Brazil again, it was like a little piece of heaven :) I am pretty sure that this will be my last trip of the 2011 summer. I would have to say that this was the most exciting summer that I have ever had! I am so so completely blessed that I have had so many wonderful opportunities presented to me these past few months! I am extremely excited to head back to school, I will be back to my home in San Diego in just a few days and I cant wait. I am so jazzed to see my friends and meet all of my new residents. I am loving this time that I have at home with my family, visiting friends, and preparing for this school year! I spent a whole day this week framing different pieces of fabric in eclectic frames to decorate my dorm hall with. I also just printed up little get to know you surveys for each of my new residents to get to know each other! It's going to be a great year!
