I have a very close friend also named Kelsey who works at a Christian camp up near Santa Cruz called Mount Hermon. I took a road trip up there for a long weekend. It was so nice to see my friends and spend some time at camp. I took a lot of hikes and walks around the campus, I almost got lost in the woods once and slightly hyperventillated but thankfully I found my way out haha. My friend Kelsey took me to Pacific Ave. where all the shopping of Santa Cruz is, I took a picture wearing my new maxi skirt in front of the famous pizza place, Pizza My Heart! We saw so many street performers and crazy costumes. The Giant Dipper in the roller coaster right on the boardwalk of the Santa Cruz beach and also the roller coaster that you see in the opening credits of "Step By Step!" I was so thrilled that I recognized it! My last day there Kelsey took me to this Brazilian restaurant where I had the best and prettiest Acai bowl that I have ever had. I loved feeling like I was in Brazil again, it was like a little piece of heaven :) I am pretty sure that this will be my last trip of the 2011 summer. I would have to say that this was the most exciting summer that I have ever had! I am so so completely blessed that I have had so many wonderful opportunities presented to me these past few months! I am extremely excited to head back to school, I will be back to my home in San Diego in just a few days and I cant wait. I am so jazzed to see my friends and meet all of my new residents. I am loving this time that I have at home with my family, visiting friends, and preparing for this school year! I spent a whole day this week framing different pieces of fabric in eclectic frames to decorate my dorm hall with. I also just printed up little get to know you surveys for each of my new residents to get to know each other! It's going to be a great year!
