And the countdown begins!!!!
There are only two days left until I board that super early flight to Paris! I will be stopping over in New York for a few hours which is super exciting in itself for me, I have always wanted to visit New York and I thought it was crazy that I would be going to Paris before I have ever set foot in New York...well I guess I can't say that now :) Even though I will only be there for a couple of hours it still counts! I decided to start packing today. I am only bringing one suitcase but don't feel too bad for it is about the size of my little brother. I got all of my plane ticket info, and directions to my apartment in order, all thats left to pack is the wardrobe which should be an interesting task. I have been told that Parisian do not wear jeans which immediately limited my wardrobe. I late found out that they just don't wear jeans that are faded or have holes. The are more in to the Miss Me jean look with some heels. So as long as I dress everything I have up a little I think I should be fine. I pulled out all of my french notes from this past school year and looked over everything I had learned. I really hope that it will all just come rushing back to me. I have realized that I am much more confident at speaking french when it is in my head or to someone who has no idea what I am saying to them!
I was planning on bringing a lot of reading materials with me, but them I realized how bulky that was going to get. So I completed one of the books I was going to bring and I have discovered that I can buy the rest of the ones I want to read on my iPad! That thing is so handy to have around :)
I was going over my course materials today and I tried to round up everything I will be needed for class. I pretty much packed my whole sewing box, complete with pins, zippers, buttons, thread, spare fabric, and fabric scissors. I am excited to see what the professors have planned for us :) I have been told that we get to go on a lot of "field trips" to business within the industry to see how things in the fashion world are really done.
And the packing continues....
